The report was commissioned by WVU Healthcare and produced by Pittsburgh-based consulting firm Tripp Umbach.
It focuses on the billions of dollars and thousands of jobs that WVU Healthcare says are indirectly and directly generated by hospitals, clinic and other health-related activities.
Last month, WVU Healthcare held open interviews aimed at filling 350 part-time and full-time positions.
President Jim Clements and Health Sciences Chancellor Christopher Colenda will discuss the report and the reason it was commissioned at a Friday afternoon press conference in Charleston.
Joining them at the Culture Center will be West Virginia United Health System President Thomas Jones and the consultant's project director.
