Prolific Cabell County law enforcement officer honored

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- A Cabell County sheriff's deputy is being recognized for the 1,000 felony arrests he has made as part of the U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force.

Sgt. Dale Enochs recorded the milestone last week in Huntington when he arrested a suspect in a daytime burglary in Kanawha County. The 41-year-old law enforcement officer will be honored at a ceremony Tuesday at Cabell County Courthouse.

He'll be presented with a plaque with the inscription: "A milestone for one; a millstone for 1,000.''

Enochs has been assigned to the Southern District of West Virginia CUFFED, or Cops United Felony Fugitive Enforcement Division, for more than four years.
