East End Yard Sale set for May 11
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Mark your calendar for May 11, the date of Charleston's biggest yard sale.
East End Main Street, in partnership with the East End Community Association, is now taking reservations from sellers for the annual East End Yard Sale.
Now in its 23rd year, the sale typically attracts more than 3,500 people who browse among the household items no longer wanted by up to 200 registered sellers.
This year the event has a title sponsor -- Old Colony Realtors -- also the newest investor in East End Main Street, Executive Director Ric Cavender said in news release Monday.
New sellers can register for the yard sale this year through the group's newly revamped website -- charlestoneastend.com. The registration fee is $10. Non-residential sellers can also register online to rent, for a $15 fee, a 20- by 20-foot space at the Kanawha County Board of Education parking lot or West Virginia Education Association parking lot.
