SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A 77-year-old mentally incapitated woman removed from Thomas Memorial Hospital against doctor's orders on Thursday has been found safe.
Lt. Aaron Dunlap of the South Charleston Police Department said family members removed Sharon G. Hall, 77, from the hospital in an apparent family squabble. Police were looking for Danny Sams, 47; Cheryl "Sug" Sams, 50 and Belinda Carter, 52, late Thursday. The trio allegedly went to the psychiatric unit of Thomas Memorial Hospital on Thursday and left with Hall. Hall is the mother of Cheryl Sams and Carter.
However, Dunlap said Hall was located later in the evening. Police planned to turn her over to the custody of Adult Protective Services while determining whether charges should be filed against family members.
