Motor vehicle accident closes part of U.S. 19 southbound
OAK HILL, W.Va. - One southbound lane of U.S. 19 had reopened around 1 p.m. following an accident at the Main Street Bridge in Oak Hill, according to a dispatcher with the state Department of Highways.
At about 6 a.m., a tractor trailer hit a guard rail and then slammed into the bridge, the dispatcher said.
Both lanes had been expected to reopen around noon, but cleanup was still underway, the dispatcher said. By 3 p.m., both lanes should reopen, he said.
