Interstate 77 reopened at Goldtown
GOLDTOWN, W.Va. -- The southbound lanes of Interstate 77 reopened shortly before 4 p.m. after being closed most of Monday following an early morning truck wreck near Goldtown, according to a Jackson County 911 dispatcher.
State Police spokesman Sgt. Michael Baylous said a tractor-trailer overturned in the southbound lanes a little after 6 a.m., blocking both the interstate and part of the median. Cleanup crews had to clean up a diesel fuel spill and pick up merchandise the truck was carrying.
Traffic was diverted onto W.Va. 21 at the Kenna exit, Baylous said.
