One Stop grants will help local schools
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Twenty-seven West Virginia schools will receive $500 grants thanks to One Stop convenience stores and the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program.
"One Stop is a part of many communities throughout the state and we are proud to be able to support our local schools. It is our hope that these grants will help enhance educational opportunities for our state's children," said Michael Graney, One Stop president.
Schools in Kanawha, Putnam, Cabell, Raleigh, Jackson, Logan, Doddridge, Marion, Monongalia, Harrison, and Mercer Counties received grants.
Kanawha County schools that will receive grant funding include St. Albans High, Sacred Heart Elementary, St. Agnes Elementary, Montrose Elementary, Piedmont Elementary, Charleston Catholic High, Holz Elementary, Cross Lanes Elementary, Elkview Middle, Overbrook Elementary, John Adams Middle and West Side Elementary.
