Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake,: will celebrate first lady Iris Coleman's Ninth Anniversary at 3 p.m. on April 13. The guest speaker will be Jeannie Flippin from The Father's House.

A hot dog and bake sale: will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Meadowbrook Freewill Baptist Church, located on W.Va. 114, north of Capital High School.
Elk River Church of the Nazarene,: 143 Dutch Road, will have a spring bazaar, "Shop till you drop" event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church. More than 25 vendors, arts and crafts, concessions and more will be featured.
Fairview United Methodist Church: in Cross Lanes will sponsor a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 13 at the church. Beans and cornbread will be sold. Directions: Turn from Big Tyler Road onto Rocky Fork Road. Take the first right up the hill.
The Lay Academy of Religion classes: will resume at 4 p.m. Sunday at First Presbyterian Church, 16 Leon Sullivan Way. Timothy Spears will speak on his recent travels in China and his cultural exchange. The class is free. Meet in room 201 of the activities building. Other sessions during April will focus on religions of China, followed by those of Japan.
Divine Hope: will be singing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Mary Virginia Gospel Tabernacle at Georges Creek.
The Believers: will sing at 1 p.m. today at the new Sissonville Volunteer Fire Station. They will sing at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Legg Fork Community Church on Legg Fork Road at Sissonville, and then at 7 p.m. Monday at Jarrett Memorial United Methodist Church at Elkview.
James and Starla Dean,: former singers with Kevin Spencer, will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Rumble Community Baptist Church.
Roger and Sharon Cunningham, and Heather Young: will be singing at 7 pm. Monday at Lucy Wilson Baptist Church, Wills Creek, Elkview.
The BrighterSide Quartet: will sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at Spencer Tabernacle in Spencer.
Chuck Compton: will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Rumble Community Baptist Church. Lonnie Gore will preach.
The Lordsmen: will sing at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. They will also sing at 7 p.m. Sunday at Jarrett United Methodist Church in Elkview.
Amwell Baptist Church: will have gospel music with The Announcers at 7 p.m. today at the church. Guest speaker at the 11 a.m. Sunday service will be Dave Beavers. Revival services with Evangelist Scott Lester will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday.
The Sissonville Spring Sing: will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the new Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department Building located on Call Road at Sissonville. Featured singers include: Jim Edens, The Believers, The Tignors, Ron Shamblin, Patsy Serles, and One Step Closer. Concessions will be sold. Admission is $5 per person, children 6 and under are admitted free. All proceeds to benefit the Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department.
Patsy Serles: will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday at Parsons Chapel, Sixth Street.
Spring Revival: will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. nightly, Monday through Wednesday at Fairlawn Baptist Church, 501 20th St., Dunbar. The Rev. Joe Ballard will be preaching. Special singing will be featured each night. Call 304-768-5858 or 304-752-8606 for more information.

Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church: will have its praise and worship services at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Jason C. Black will preach at both services. Sacred Heirs Quartet will sing at the 6 p.m. Sunday service. Sunday school will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday. The Prayer meeting and Youth Group meetings are held at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.
