Citizen Police Academy Alumni barbecue
Charleston Police Department's Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association will sponsor a pulled pork barbecue meal sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Roosevelt Neighborhood Center, corner of Ruffner and Jackson streets. St. Albans Historical Society meeting
The St. Albans Historical Society: will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday at the historical society building at 404 Fourth Ave., adjacent to the C&O Depot. A presentation will be given on the history of the Wren's Nest Restaurant. Refreshments will follow.
Open benefit trail ride
Southern District 4-H Horse Camp will sponsor an open benefit trail ride May 11 at Camp Virgil Tate, between Sissonville and Cross Lanes. Proceeds go toward Camp Virgil Tate 4-H Barn Fund.
