Suspects sought in Rand home invasion

By Staff reports

RAND, W.Va. -- Kanawha County detectives are looking for three people who forced their way into a home in Rand this morning and robbed several people at gunpoint.

Authorities believe two men and a woman, all wearing dark clothes and ski masks, burst into a home on Raven Drive in Rand at about 4:30 a.m., according to Cpl. Brian Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. Two men and two women were in the house at the time.

Humphreys said the suspects had guns and demanded money and drugs. All four people in the house were injured during the robbery, and several said they had been pistol-whipped, Humphreys said.

The suspects then ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
