Truth Seekers

Woman's Club of Charleston

The Woman's Club of Charleston is holding its semiannual sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the club, 1600 Virginia St. E., in Charleston's historic East End. Sale items include books, clothes, collectibles, flea market items, linens, jewelry and baked goods. Meals will be available both days, either eat in or take out.

GHS Spring Lecture Series

The Greenbrier Historical Society will host its next spring lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday at the North House, 301 West Washington St. in Lewisburg. Museum coordinator Toni Ogden will talk about "How to Care for Your Artifacts and Antiques." Requested donation is $5. Seating is limited. Call 304-645-3398 for reservations. Zumba fitness

Come work up a sweat in our zumba class at North Charleston Community Center, 2009 Seventh Ave. North Charleston, for ages 18 and up beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday. Classes will be held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. The first two classes, Thursday and May 9, are free and then the cost is $5 per class or $20 for a punch card. Community festival

Tyler Mountain Community Festival will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinnon Presbyterian Church, 4278 Washington St. West, Tyler Mountain. A community yard sale with arts and crafts will be featured, including handmade pottery, jewelry and decorative items, all by local artisans. Hot dogs will be sold for $1, along with baked goods. The Carpenter Ants will perform between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For information, call 304-744-2815 and leave a message.
