Boil-water advisory lifted on Charleston's West Side; another issued in Salt Rock

  • West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil-water advisory for about 500 customers in the Watts Street area of Charleston's West Side hill.
  • West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for about 150 residential customers in Salt Rock. The advisory area includes the 3000 block of Cyrus Creek Road, Mary Lane Estates, Johnson Branch, Goose Run, Berry Lane Road, Meyers Road and East Trails Road. The advisory follows a water main break.
  • West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 60 residential customers in Scarbro in the company's New River system. The advisory area includes Stover Hollow Road, Oliver Road, Ward Avenue, Vargo Street and Scarbro Road. The advisory follows a water main break.

Customers should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
