Motorist killed in car-bus wreck identified
PHILIPPI, W.Va. -- Barbour County authorities have released the name of a man who was killed when his car collided with a school bus.
The sheriff's office identified the victim as 50-year-old Larry T. Vincent of Philippi. The accident happened Tuesday on U.S. Route 119 near Volga.
Sheriff's Deputy Jeffrey C. Kennedy says it appears Vincent's car crossed the center line and ran head-on into the front of the school bus. He says the bus driver went into a ditch in an attempt to avoid the car.
No students were on the bus at the time. The bus driver wasn't injured.
