Live on the Levee 2013 schedule

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- In case you missed it, the Live on the Levee 10th anniversary schedule announcement was made Monday. Print this story for a handy guide to the free summer concert series.

All shows take place at Haddad Riverfront Park. They start at 6:30 p.m., with the headlining act taking the stage around 7:30 p.m.

Concerts are listed with headliner first, then opener.

May 24: The Voodoo Katz (world beat) with 600LBS OF SIN (jam band). Followed by fireworks.

May 31: Toothless Ruth (rock covers) with Relative Obscurity (metal).

June 7: Mother's Nature (classic rock/R&B). Opening ceremony for West Virginia Special Olympics Summer Games.

June 14: Rootbound (rock/Southern rock) and Juicy (classic rock covers). West Virginia Biker Bash weekend.

June 21: Kathy Mattea (country/folk), preceded by a West Virginia songwriter showcase. Part of the West Virginia Sesquicentennial and FestivALL Charleston.

June 28: The Esquires (1960s R&B) with Dugan Carter and Full Flavor (jazz).

July 5: The Recipe (roots rock) with The Boatmen (Americana/funk).

July 12: Kris Allen ("American Idol" season 8 winner, pop rock) with The Ryan Kennedy Trio (jazz). Followed by fireworks.

July 19: Butch Miles (W.Va. jazz great) with the Boy Scouts Jamboree Jazz Band.

July 26: The Campbell Brothers (steel guitar-infused gospel/blues) with The Carpenter Ants (R&B/soul/gospel).

Aug. 2: High Voltage (rock covers) with InFormation (progressive rock).

Aug. 9: Blues DuJour (blues) with Rubber Soul (Beatles tribute band).

Aug. 16: Edwin McCain (pop rock singer/songwriter best known for the '90s hit "I'll Be") and Chaz Humley and the Effects (blues). Sportsfest and West Virginia Games weekend.

Aug. 23: The Putnam County Pickers (country rock) with Ryan Cain & the Ables (rockabilly).

Aug. 30: Acoustic Syndicate (folk rock) with Comparsa (Latin beat).
