Mission WV will sponsor a Walk With Me ... For Youth In Foster Care event at 10 a.m. Saturday at Appalachian Power Park, 601 Morris St. The registration fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and younger. The walk is an easy 5K and entertainment includes RC the Clown, Captain America, the Heart of Appalachia Roller Derby Team, KC the Ambulance and Chuck the WV Power Mascot. Alpha Theta Chapter

Preceptor Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Kanawha Turnpike in Spring Hill. President Charlotte Bowling will conduct the business meeting following a covered-dish dinner. Installation of officers for 2012-14 will be held.

FamilyCare Health Center will offer free diabetes educational programs at two of its locations. The programs will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. May 30 at FamilyCare Health Center, 301-6 Great Teays Blvd., Scott Depot, or from 2 to 3:30 p.m. May 30 at the FamilyCare Health Center, 116 Hills Plaza. Kirk Kenyon, a member of the A1C Champions Program, will lead a program titled "Diabetes Patient Educates Peers on Taking Control of the Disease."
