Fairness W.Va. announces new director
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Fairness West Virginia, a group that opposes discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, announced Casey Willits as its new executive director on Thursday.
Willits has worked for Fairness groups in Kentucky and Florida, according to a news release.
"West Virginia is on the precipice of achieving employment and housing non-discrimination for LGBT people," Willits said in the release. "I am so excited to be here at this moment, with thousands of supporters, working to secure fair treatment and civil rights for the more than 57,000 LGBT people that call West Virginia home."
