CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Fayette County man admitted in U.S. District Court on Monday that he sold prescription painkillers.
Vernon Peters III, 35, of Kincaid, pleaded guilty to distribution of oxycodone, according to a media release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.
Last year, the release states, Peters sold 30 oxycodone tables to a police informant at his residence. In all, he admitted to selling 250 pills in and around Fayette County.
Police also found around 17 guns and 236 marijuana plants at the home, according to the release.
Peters faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when U.S. District Judge John Copenhaver sentences him on Aug. 22.
