W.Va. 34 near Red House reopens after 'major spill'
RED HOUSE, W.Va. -- W.Va. 34 near Red House Hill in Putnam County was closed for almost five hours Tuesday after a tractor-trailer carrying an excavator overturned and spilled diesel fuel.
The accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. near Red House. The state Department of Transportation said on Twitter that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is investigating and described the accident as a "major spill."
No one was injured. The road reopened at 9:30 p.m., according to Putnam 911 dispatchers.
