St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 821 B St., St. Albans, will have its 12th Pastoral Anniversary for the Rev. Dr. Michael A. and Mary Poke today and Sunday. First Lady Poke's Night will be held at 6 p.m. today. Pastor Carolyn Walker of Central Community Tabernacle will speak. Music will be provided by Central Community Tabernacle Youth Team and St. Paul God's Littlest Angels. The morning worship service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday with music provided by St. Paul Mass Choir. Speaker will be the Rev. Philamon Dillard, Associate Pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. The anniversary service starts at 3:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Walter Leach, pastor of St. Paul Baptist Temple, Beckley, along with his choir and congregation. Dinner will be served immediately following the morning service. Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church Pastor's Aide will sponsor their annual Fashion Show at 5 p.m. June 29 at the Davis Fine Arts Building at West Virginia State University in Institute. Tickets are a $10 donation. The church pastor, the Rev. Robert K. Davis, is also retiring in August, and the church members hope to make this a big day. Abundant Life Ministries, 1534 Washington St. E., will sponsor a "Blessed & Dressed" Clothing Give-Away from 10 a.m. to noon June 22 at the church. Clothing in all sizes and seasons will be given away to the general public. Donations of clothing in good condition are being accepted now until June 16. Greater Emmanuel Gospel Tabernacle's Men's Department will have a hot dog sale 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in front of the Save-A-Lot store at 1546 Virginia St.
The Breath of Freshness Apostolic Ministries, 4917 Midland Drive, will have their Women's Day Conference Thursday through June 16 at the church. Speakers at 7 p.m. nightly include Apostle Shirley A. The Greater WV Jurisdiction Church of God In Christ Women's Convention will convene June 20-22 at Word of Truth COGIC, 911 Terrill Street, Beckley. The Achievers' Class of the Fifth Avenue Church of God in South Charleston will open its Clothes Closet from 10 a.m. to noon on June 22. Clothes are free to families and individuals in need. The 15th Annual Outdoor Gospel Sing will be held at 7 p.m. today at Maranatha Baptist Church, located 8 miles north of Charleston, just off Interstate 77, Tupper Creek Exit 111. Artists include special guest Squire Parsons, the BrighterSide Quartet, the Maranatha Choir, the Sound of Praise Ensemble and Jim Edens. Admission is free; however, a love offering will be accepted. Concessions will be available. The sing will be festival seating; bring a lawn chair. In case of rain, the sing will be held in the gym.
Teays Valley Church of the Nazarene, 3937 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, will have a benefit sing at 5 p.m. today for Charlii, age 5, the granddaughter of Ivin B. Lee. Charlii, who lives in Maryland with her parents, was mauled by two pit bull dogs and will require multiple surgeries. Featured groups include Men of the Cross, Vandalia Male Chorus, along with special performances by Jenean Tench, Karen Tolley and Walter Pannell.
The Homeland Southern Gospel Sing: will be held at 7 p.m. June 14 at Highlawn Baptist Church, 2304 Jefferson Ave., St. Albans.

First Baptist Church of Vandalia will have its Male Chorus Concert and Appreciation Service for Leroy Robinson at 6 p.m. June 22 and 3:30 pm. June 23 at the church, located at 1500 Mountain Road.

The Religious Coalition for Community Renewal will sponsor a Gospel Fest at 7 p.m. June 25 at Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church, 607 Shrewsbury St. Admission is free; however, an offering will be taken to benefit the Samaritan Inn.
The Ladies Aide Ministry of Levi First Missionary Baptist Church will sponsor the Vandalia Male Chorus in concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, 5125 Church Drive, Rand.
A benefit gospel sing will be held 4 to 8 p.m. today at Belle Recreation Center to benefit Tom Dunlap, a double lung transplant candidate with a heart bypass in Pittsburgh.
Kanawha Valley Ringers will have their 10th Anniversary Concert 3 pm. Sunday at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 900 Lawndale Lane. Directed by Dale Miller, Kanawha Valley Ringers is the area's only auditioned community handbell ensemble. Former choir members from all 10 years will be participating in the grand finale. There is no charge for admission to the concert. KVR practices 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesdays at St. Timothy's. Additionally, there will be dress rehearsal from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. J.P. Miller's 10th Annual West Virginia Homecoming Gospel Music Concert Event will be held June 15 at the Bridgeport Civic Center in Bridgeport. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the concert begins at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Special music and comedy will be provided by J.P. Miller, along with his friends and family. A silent auction, free gift for the first 60 in attendance, and a kids' section will be featured. A concession stand will be open.
Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church will have its praise and worship service Sunday at the church, located at 5470 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington. The Rev. James Gilkerson will preach at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ray Williamson will preach at 6 p.m. and the church choir will perform at 6 p.m. The prayer meeting and youth group meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Vacation Bible school
Mount Salem United Methodist Church will have vacation Bible school 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday at the church, located at 4743 U.S. 60, Hurricane. The theme will be "Son West Round Up." There will be classes for kindergarten to grade 6. Crafts and refreshments will be featured each night. A wiener roast will be held June 14 at the end of the program. The church is located 4 1/2 miles east of Hurricane, across from covered bridge on the left, up the hill.
Vacation Bible school will be held June 17-21 at Cross Lanes United Methodist Church, 5320 Frontier Drive. A celebration will be held June 23. A hot dinner will be served free each night at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m. A snack will also be served at 8:30 p.m. at the end of each evening. The theme is "Son Harvest Country Fair" and will include skits, games and crafts. A Program Grand Stand Review will be presented at 6 p.m. June 15 with food and outdoor events to follow. Events include a hay bale toss, cow milking, face painting and more. Classes will be offered for ages 1 through 18.
Vacation Bible school will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 17-21 at Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene, 192 Nazarene Drive, South Charleston. Classes for age 2 through fifth grade will be offered. The theme is "Tumbleweed Gulch, Where God's Love Changes Everything." The church is located beside Ruthlawn Elementary.
Faith Missionary Baptist Church will have its 2013 Vacation Bible School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m nightly, June 16 and ending with a big celebration on June 20 at the church, 701 MacCorkle Avenue West, St. Albans. The theme is "Investigation Destination." There will be classes for three year olds through adults. Stories, songs, contests, crafts and refreshments will be featured.
