Man accused of '99 slaying to remain at Sharpe
CLARKSBURG, W.Va. -- A man accused of killing his grandmother in Harrison County in 1999 will remain at a state psychiatric hospital.
Brandon Koski is charged with second-degree murder in the fatal beating of 70-year-old Hazel M. Koski. He was 18 at the time. He has been hospitalized since 2000.
The Exponent Telegram reports that Harrison County Circuit Court Judge Lewis Marks Jr. ruled this week that Koski will remain at William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital in Weston.
Hospital associate clinical director Dr. John H. King told the judge in a letter that there's been no significant change in Koski's status.
Another hearing will be held in June 2014.
