Princeton chief retires amid internal review
PRINCETON, W.Va. -- Princeton's police chief has retired amid an internal review involving administrative issues.
City manager Elke Doom tells media outlets that P.V. Powell's last day as police chief was Friday.
Powell was placed on administrative leave in May following claims that he wasn't following proper protocol.
Lt. Detective J.W. Howell has been serving as acting police chief.
Powell had served as police chief since January 2012.
