Warrant issued in Rand home invasion
RAND, W.Va. -- The Kanawha County Sheriff's office is looking for a man who broke into a Rand home, fired a gun and demanded money and drugs.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Tevin Christopher "Smook" Williams, 19, of Rand.
Police believe Williams broke into a home on Elaine Drive in Rand early Wednesday morning. Residents said he demanded money and drugs, took a purse and left on foot.
Williams has been charged with armed robbery, a felony, and detectives are exploring possible links between this crime and other recent, similar robberies in Rand.
