Bryan Adams returns

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Canadian rocker Bryan Adams brings another helping of acoustic rock to the Clay Center Aug. 15.

Adams was last in Charleston and the Clay Center in November 2010. At the time, he was touring his "Bare Bones" live, acoustic record, which included unplugged versions of many of his best-known hits.

The show was enthusiastically received and even appeared to result in a marriage proposal made in the front row during the concert.

Adams, a Grammy Award winner, is best known for a slew of 1980s and early 1990s hits like "Run to You," "Summer of 69," "Cuts Like A Knife" and the power ballad "(Everything I do) I Do It For You" from 1991's "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves," starring Kevin Costner.

Tickets for the show are $32.50, $48 and $68, based on seating and go on sale Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. through the Clay Center Box Office. Call 304-561-3570 or visit www.theclaycenter.org.
