W.Va. rail authority to meet in three cities

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Department of Transportation's State Rail Authority will continue holding a series of public information meetings to discuss the Authority's State Rail Plan. All meetings will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. There will be formal presentations at 6 p.m. followed by an opportunity to give comments in a workshop-style setting. The next public meetings will be held at the following locations:

July 16: Culture Center Grand Hall, Charleston.

July 17: Division of Highways District 3 Headquarters, Conference Center, 624 Depot St., Parkersburg.

July 18: Flatwoods Days Hotel, Huntington Room, Sutton.

Written comments must be sent on or before Aug. 23 to Cindy Butler, Director, West Virginia State Rail Authority, 120 Water Plan Drive, Moorefield, WV 26836.
