WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- All Catholics and their families living in eastern Fayette, Greenbrier, Monroe, Pocahontas, Summers counties and Alleghany, Bath and Craig counties in Virginia, are invited to the annual All Area Catholic Picnic at 1 p.m. July 21 in the Greenbrier State Forest, just south of the White Sulphur Springs/Caldwell exit on Interstate 64.
Paper products, drinks, hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings will be provided. Bring a covered dish to share. The nearby swimming pool will open at noon. Food will be served around 1:30 p.m., and special music will be provided by Harmony Creek Junction, an award-winning bluegrass and harmony band of college students from the area, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. A freewill offering will be taken to cover the costs of the band.
