Nitro-St. Albans: The bridge so far
ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- The first of five beams that will connect the Nitro and St. Albans sides of the new Dick Henderson Memorial Bridge was lowered into place Monday. A West Virginia Department of Transportation spokeswoman said the second beam also will be fitted this week.
The bridge was closed in January and demolished in March. The new bridge is expected to open in November.
