Water advisories issued, lifted
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water has issued a boil-water advisory for approximately 300 customers in Salt Rock. The advisory area includes McComas Road, Tyler Creek, West Hamlin, W.Va. 10 to Calvary Lane, and Trace Creek Road. The advisory follows a water main break. Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
Beckley Water Co. has lifted a boil-water advisory issued July 18 for 4-H Road from Daniels Elementary School to the intersection of Grandview Road, then left on Grandview Road to the end of the system in Crow. The advisory included all adjacent streets.
The Department of Health and Human Resources has lifted the boil-water advisory issued for the Alpoca Water Works Inc.
