CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department will have five walk-in school vaccination clinics during the month of August.
The clinics will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 7; 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Aug. 8; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 12; and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Aug. 13.
Seventh-grade students are required to have a diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (DTaP or Tdap) booster and a dose of a meningococcal vaccine. Students entering 12th grade must have a Tdap booster and a dose of meningococcal vaccine given after they turn 16.
