Police search for Teays Valley bank robber

TEAYS VALLEY -- Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a bank in Putnam County on Tuesday.

A man entered the Huntington National Bank in Teays Valley before handing the teller a note demanding money, according to a news release issued by the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds, according to the release. Security cameras captured the man wearing a plaid shirt, tan khaki pants and a pair of black sunglasses.

The suspect ran away with an undisclosed amount of money to the Travel Centers of America truck stop nearby. He may have fled in a vehicle along Interstate 64.
