Home confinement fugitive found
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County sheriff's deputies have found a man who allegedly ran away from police Monday in Sissonville.
Charles Brett Cook, 29, allegedly ran from deputies at his home on Cook Drive after they went to check on him because he allegedly violated the terms of his home confinement, according to Cpl. Brian Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. Humphreys said Cook allegedly ran into the woods when home confinement officers showed up.
Cook was given home confinement in 2011 in connection with a stolen property conviction.
Cook was found at a home on Falcon Drive on Tuesday, Humphreys said. He was arrested and charged with violating the terms of his home confinement sentence. He was being held without bail this morning at the South Central Regional Jail.Reach Rusty Marks at email@example.com or 304-348-1215.
