Prison term for state man on weapons, drugs counts
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- A Cabell County man has been sentenced to three years in prison for illegally selling prescription painkillers and firearms.
The government said 41-year-old Kenneth Lee Sergent of Huntington entered guilty pleas in May to being a felon in possession of a firearm and distribution of oxycodone.
This week, he was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Huntington. The gun charge stems from Sergent's sale of weapons to an informant working for law enforcement officials.
