HURRICANE, W.Va. -- United Way of Central West Virginia will hold a "Stuff the Bus" event Friday at the Hurricane Walmart to collect school supplies for the children of low-income families in Putnam County.
Volunteers from United Way and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will be at the store entrance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to collect donations.
Supplies need for the drive include backpacks, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, three-ring binders, erasers, safety scissors, glue, glue sticks, spiral notebooks, rulers, markers, hand sanitizer and other school-related items.
