West Virginia State Fair schedule: Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013

FAIRLEA, W.Va. -- The West Virginia State Fair takes place at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Fairlea. Gate admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 6-12 and free for children 5 and younger.

7 a.m.: Gates open

7 a.m.: Senior dairy goat show

9 a.m.: Hereford cattle show

Hourly from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Moo U

10 a.m.: Farm show cart classes

11 a.m.: Sons of Everett Lilly

11 a.m., 1, 3, 4:30, 7 p.m.: Swifty Swine pig races

Noon, 2, 5:30 p.m.: All American Stunt and Thrill Show

12:30, 2:30, 5:30 p.m.: Extreme raptor show

12:30, 2:30, 5:30 p.m.: Rowdy Rooster puppet show

12:30, 3:30, 7 p.m.: Comedic hypnotist

1 p.m.: Jersey cattle show

1 p.m.: Open Boer goat show

1, 3, 6 p.m.: One Man Band

1:30, 5, 6:30 p.m.: Rise Above bike swing

2:30, 5:30 p.m.: Sons of Everett Lilly

3 p.m.: Holstein dairy cattle show

3:30 p.m.: Junior Boer goat show

4 p.m.: Open horse show

8 p.m.: Concert: Buckin' B Bull Ride and Parmalee

10 p.m.: Fireworks presented by Zambelli
