CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The state Department of Health and Human Resources has issued a boil-water advisory for the Kanawha Falls Public Service District following the loss of water pressure.
Gauley River Public Service District has also issued a boil-water advisory for the areas of Brownsville, Alta, Dixie, Bentree, Bell Creek, Mount Olive, Belva, Beech Glen, Jodie, Rich Creek, Swiss, Lyon Creek, Peters Creek and Drennen following a water main break.
Customers should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.
West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil-water advisory for about 30 residential customers in the Clark Estates subdivision in Huntington. They have also lifted the boil-water advisory for 50 to 100 customers in the area of 6133 Ohio River Rd. near the intersection of Big Ben Bowen and W.Va. 2 and the four-lane highway.
