BELLE, W.Va. -- A man experiencing low blood glucose levels drove the wrong way along U.S. 60 before crashing near Belle on Monday.
Police began following the man as he drove eastbound in the westbound lane just before 8 p.m., Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers said. The man turned onto Midland Avenue in Belle before crashing into a hillside, dispatchers said.
Paramedics arrived and took the man to CAMC General Hospital. Dispatchers did not know if the man was injured in the crash.
Kanawha County sheriff's deputies responded.
