St. Albans man stabbed father in leg, police say
ST. ALBANS, W.Va. -- A man stabbed his father twice in the leg after an argument near St. Albans on Friday, police said.
Donald Lee McDaniel, 38, stabbed his father at their residence on West Vine Street at 11:45 a.m., Kanawha County Sheriff's Department Cpl. Brian Humphreys said in a news release.
McDaniel fled into a wooded area before police arrived. Paramedics took the father to CAMC General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Kanawha Sheriff's Cpl. F.E. Flowers later found McDaniel along a roadway, exhibiting signs of a drug overdose, Humphreys said. He was taken to CAMC General Hospital for treatment. Humphreys said he would be arrested and charged with malicious wounding upon his release.
