CROSS LANES, W.Va. -- A man wanted in connection to a break-in at a Cross Lanes convenience store turned himself into police on Wednesday.
Tyler Andrew Williams, 22, of Cross Lanes, was charged with breaking and entering, said Sgt. Sean Snuffer of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies also arrested Gay Sanford Washington, 38, of Cross Lanes, in connection to the break-in on Tuesday. Washington was charged with being an accessory after the fact to breaking and entering.
Snuffer said the two men drove up to the Go-Mart at 123 Goff Mountain Rd. just before 5 a.m. Monday in a black Ford Ranger pickup. Security cameras captured one man entering a back door of the convenience store and gas station before breaking into an office and taking four bank deposit bags, Snuffer said. One of the men was caught allegedly attempting to break into a restroom.
Williams and Washington are being held in the South Central Regional Jail each in lieu of a $35,000 bail.
