Fayette man charged with robbery
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Fayette County man faces robbery charges after allegedly holding up a Raleigh County drug store at gunpoint.
Kevin Douglas Dean, 42, of Mount Hope, allegedly walked into the Rite Aid pharmacy at Beckley Plaza on Wednesday and robbed the pharmacy at gunpoint, according to Lt. D.R. Joynes of the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department. Dean allegedly fled with an undisclosed amount of drugs.
Dean was caught a short time later by a Raleigh County deputy and Beckley city police.
Dean was charged with armed robbery. He was being held in the Southern Regional Jail today, with bail set at $1 million.
