Charleston man faces burglary charge
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Charleston man is facing a burglary charge after allegedly breaking into the bedroom of a neighbor's 11-year-old daughter.
Sgt. Sean Snuffer of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said deputies went to a home on Elk Drive in Charleston on Aug. 23 after the girl woke up to a man in her bed. The 11-year-old ran out of the room and yelled for her parents.
Snuffer said the family identified the man as Kenneth Ray Cochran, 47, a neighbor.
Cochran was arrested without incident at his home on Wednesday, Snuffer said. He was charged with nighttime burglary.
Cochran was free on bond today. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Sgt. D.H. Duff at 304-357-0169.
