Cross Lanes man wanted in McDonald's robbery

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Cross Lanes man robbed another man in a McDonald's restroom earlier this week, police say.

On Tuesday afternoon, a 27-year-old man went into the restroom in the McDonald's restaurant on Big Tyler Road. The man told Cpl. C.E. O'Neal of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department that Robert Marshall, 23, knew he had cash on him and followed him into the restroom, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.

Marshall allegedly grabbed the man's neck and took cash from his pockets.

O'Neal, who could not find Marshall after the incident, obtained an arrest warrant charging him with robbery. Anyone with information on Marshall's whereabouts is asked to call 304-357-0169 or submit a tip at www.kanawhasheriff.us.
