U.S.: Virginia man impersonated officer in state
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- A Virginia man faces charges in West Virginia he impersonated a federal officer.
The U.S. attorney's office says 36-year-old Talbert Foster Dehaven of Winchester, Va., was arrested Thursday in Martinsburg on three counts of impersonating an officer and one count of possessing a U.S. marshal badge.
The government says Dehaven claimed to be a federal marshal seeking a wanted criminal. Dehaven was released after his arrest. It was not clear if he had an attorney, but he had asked that one be assigned to him.
