Sunday's Child: Shy teen is a good student

By Staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- This sweet young lady is April. She is 13 years old. She is very open-minded and is looking for a forever family to call her own.

When asked about her preference for parents, she said that she just wants a family who loves her and wants to do things with her. She wants parents who like to go out as a family and watch movies.

April especially likes scary movies. She would prefer a more rural homeplace. She likes animals, bike riding, drawing, swimming and football. Her favorite foods are hotdogs, corn dogs and macaroni and cheese.

April tends to be somewhat shy and quiet. She is a good student and does well in school. She participates in 4-H and really enjoys it. She does have contact with her paternal grandmother and would like for that contact to continue.

Many children in West Virginia are legally eligible to be adopted and are waiting for permanent and loving families. For more information about adoption, contact Mission West Virginia at 866-225-5698 or email adopt@missionwv.org.
