Jefferson mobile home fire ruled suspicious
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- State fire marshals are investigating a suspicious blaze that began inside a mobile home Monday afternoon in Jefferson.
The fire, at 2291 Smith Creek Road, was reported at about 2 p.m.
A Kanawha County Sheriff's Department dispatcher said the fire was ruled suspicious and fire marshals are looking into it. No one was inside the mobile home at the time of the fire.
Kanawha Deputy Emergency Manager C.W. Sigman said a wheelchair ramp had recently been added to the mobile home, but there was no electricity hooked up to the structure at the time of the fire.
