CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The University of Charleston School of Business and Leadership has named David Luechauer to be its Cecil I. Walker Chair of Management.
Luechauer will also become director of UC's Master of Business Administration and Leadership program next fall.
"David brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our faculty, which will greatly enhance our ability to equip students with the problem-solving skills to become the next generation of leaders and global citizens," UC Business School Dean Scott Bellamy said in a news release.
Before coming to UC, Luechauer was a visiting assistant professor at the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. In 2012, Luechauer spent six months teaching at the Gaeddu College of Business in Bhutan -- a small country in southern Asia between India and China.
"I am thrilled to be part of the University of Charleston team and I look forward to awakening, enlightening and transforming the leaders within all our students," Luechauer said.
