Metro Emergency Operations Center board of directors will meet at noon Thursday. The Finance Committee will meet at 11 a.m. the same day. Both meetings are in the Media Room at the Ned Chilton 911 Center, 200 Peyton Way, Southridge Business Park, Charleston.
Metro Emergency Ambulance Authority will have its regular meeting Friday at the Central Office, 601 Brooks St. The officers meeting will be at 11 a.m. in the new training conference room. Open Stage 4 Kids
Sky Kershner and Ron Sowell will host Open Stage 4 Kids from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Unity of Kanawha Valley, 804 Myrtle Road. Performers ages 5 to 15 are invited to share a talent by playing an instrument, singing, dancing, telling a joke, showing a piece of art, magic or just talking into a microphone. Rand chicken dinner
A chicken dinner to benefit the Community of Rand Association will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 5701 Church Drive, Rand. Menu includes fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, hot rolls, desserts, iced tea and coffee. Adults $10, children 12 and under $5. Carry-outs available. No deliveries.
