Summers County drug investigation nets 54 arrests
HINTON, W.Va. -- More than 50 people are facing drug-related charges in Summers County following a multi-agency investigation.
West Virginia State Police say the suspects face a total 172 charges. They were arrested Wednesday by state and local authorities and taken to the Southern Regional Jail.
State police Cpl. John Cooper tells media outlets that the charges involve prescription drugs, cocaine and heroin.
The investigation was conducted by state police, Hinton police and the Summers County Sheriff's Department.
