CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The University of Charleston has made the Military Friendly Schools list for the fifth consecutive year.
The list, chosen by Victory Media, honors the top 20 percent of colleges and universities in the country that embrace military service members and veterans as students.
At UC, military members and veterans make up more than 200 of the school's 1,935 students. UC also offers the Golden Eagle Scholarship, allowing members of the National Guard to attend at an affordable cost.
"Inclusion on this year's list certainly shows University of Charleston's strong commitment to providing a supportive environment for military students," Sean Collins, vice president at Victory Media, said in a press release. "The need for education is growing, and our mission is to provide the military community with transparent, world-class resources to assist in their search for schools. We appreciate all that UC continues to do to help veterans."
