CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Nearly New Rummage
The Temple Israel Sisterhood and the B'nai Jacob Ladies Auxiliary have joined forces to hold a Nearly New Rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 13 at Temple Israel, 2312 Kanawha Blvd. E.
In conjunction with the rummage sale, there will be a luncheon food menu and a baked goods sale.
The nearly new items donated include clothing for men, women and children, shoes, pocketbooks, furniture, books, toys, collectibles, jewelry and pet, computer, and household items.
Huntington's disease support group
A Huntington's disease support group meets on the second Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Saint Francis Hospital. The next meeting is Oct. 12.

Indoor Yard Sale
An Indoor Yard Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Blvd. E.
Items for sale include household goods, children's and adult clothing, toys, books, small appliances, furniture, collectibles and more.
Proceeds are used by the Social Ministry Committee to buy Christmas food baskets for those in need.
The Women of the ELCA will sell homemade baked goods and the Trinity Youth Group will sell sausage biscuits and hot dogs to raise funds for their social outreach ministries. For more information, call the church office at 304-342-5212 or email email@example.com.
TGI Fridays' can promotion
From now until Oct. 15, TGI Fridays in the Charleston area will donate up to 3,000 cans of food to the Mountaineer Food Bank for each new Facebook fan the restaurant receives at Facebook.com/EatAtTGIFridays as well as liking the chain's local pages in Charleston.
Acoustic Neuroma group
The West Virginia Acoustic Neuroma Association's local support group will meet at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 in the Prestera Center Conference Room at 511 Morris St.
Psychologist James W. Merrill will speak on "Achieving Balance in Your Life After Being Diagnosed with Acoustic Neuroma."
The meeting is open to patients, family members, caregivers, friends and interested persons.
