WVU adopts strategic communications plan for MBAs
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University will offer a new master's in business administration course in strategic communications next year.
The Public Relations Society of America announced today that WVU's journalism and business schools are joining Seton Hall University's business school in offering its course.
Eight other universities have already adopted it.
Anthony D'Angelo of the PRSA says employers need people with not only MBAs but also a solid grounding in communications strategy.
He says corporate reputations are harder than ever to both build and protect.
The course is offered in full semester, what WVU calls "mini-mester'' and seminar formats.
