Stand with W.Va. Women rally
A Stand With West Virginia Women Rally will be held at noon today at the Memorial Student Center Fountain on the Marshall Campus in Huntington. The rally is being held to protest the recent efforts by state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey to limit a woman's access to abortion care in the state. Generation Charleston and the West Virginia Housing Development Fund will offer a Homebuyers Blueprint for those planning to purchase a home from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Habitat For Humanity's Homeowner Education and Community Center at 815 Court St. Topics discussed include: lending and interest rates, home inspections, insurance and various programs that can assist in the home buying process. Open stage/coffee house
Unity of Kanawha Valley will be home to the monthly Open Stage and Coffee House with host Ron Sowell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at 804 Myrtle Road, corner of Bridge and Myrtle roads. Musicians are welcome to share their talents. Performers sign up at 7 p.m. General admission is $5. Admission for performers, seniors and children is $2. Various coffees, teas, soft drinks and homemade treats are available at a small cost.
